Baba screened among other short films from the greater East Africa region during the 2-day camping event that had so much to offer from the Kikopey scenery to the Aberdare ranges and the stunning Lake Elementaita.

The Manyatta screening is an opening to more screenings in Kenya that you can look out for in coming months.

Baba, directed by multi-talented award-winning Mbithi Masya, and produced by Bramwel Iro is a short fiction film about a day in the life of a 6-year-old boy who uses an unusual ability to escape a harsh reality.

Baba will be back on the road this September with two scheduled screenings in Cape Town, South Africa and Cologne, Germany.

The Cape Town screening will be in the inaugural FAME Shorts Film Festival, scheduled to screen at The Labia Theater in Cape Town, South Africa, from the 7th to the 9th of September 2023.

On 23rd September, the film will make its final stop for the month at the Afrika Film Festival Koeln as part of Film Forum Ludwig.
