Free Money made two stops in Europe this month. The film was part of the Beholders Documentary Dialogues.
The focus theme for the dialogue was ‘Perspectives’: After each documentary, the audience saw the slide on Beholders with “What do you see?”. Because everyone sees something different and the audience is encouraged to talk to each other about what they see and why there are differences. It is usually the differences that are interesting. In this theme, they collected several documentaries that made the audience aware of changing perspectives while watching.
Free Money was also part of the Human Rights Film Festival, Berlin under the theme ‘Breaking Barriers’. The film was scheduled for 2 screenings and a virtual screening.
NO SIMPLE WAY HOME
No Simple was part of the 'Movies at the Alchemist' at the Alchemist in Westlands this past week. We're super proud of the engagement of the film since it's release in 2022.
DW is also set to broadcast No Simple Way Home across their platforms (DW Deutsch+ and DW English) from 1st to 5th November.
MAWIMBI
The short film Mawimbi, Directed by Mark Wambui, Produced by Ivy Kiru and Written by Ian Wanjohi screened for the first time in Europe at the FIFP - Festival International Du Film Pan Africain | Cannes.
Mawimbi was part of the shorts programme that screened on 21st October.
