The No Simple Way Home Kenya Premiere was one of the most memorable screenings we’ve had for the film this year.

The film was scheduled to premiere at Alliance Française de Nairobi on Monday, 5^th December from 6:00 pm and to our delightful surprise, we had a sold-out cinema on a weekday, and the engagement with the film after the screening was beyond our expectations.

Given Kenya’s proximity to South Sudan, the film provided so much perspective for Kenyans to better understand some of the South Sudan history told through such a personal lens from the Director, Akuol de Mabior, daughter of South Sudan Liberation leader, the late Dr. John Garang and one of South Sudan’s Vice Presidents, Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior.

The post-screening Q&A featured Nyankuir de Mabior, Akuol’s sister and a main character in the film with film Producer, Sam Soko moderated by Serge-Armand from Alliance Francaise.
